Woods eager to come back to golf course, says Stricker

Tiger Woods is utterly desperate to come back to the gold course, says Steve Stricker.

It has also been reported that the former world number one has vowed to play in the coming year. Steve told that Tiger is "antsy" to back n action, with the ex world No 1 plighting to play in the year 2017.

The former world No 1 and fourteen time major champ has not played competitively since the Wyndham Championship last August, having undergone a back surgery. Wood, earlier in March, admitted that he had a whole lot of hard work before making a return.

Steve, a former Ryder Cup mate of Tiger believes that the forty year old would take things very slowly in spite of his eagerness to come back. Recently, Stricker told that Tiger would say away this year. He asked him whether he is getting healthier. Tiger replied that he just could not wait to get back in the course.

He added that he believes that he wants to take it bit slowly and ensure that everything is more than fine. He is healed and all set to go before he comes back. He produces so much force in that swing and the body can only take so much. Therefore, he is just making sure that everything is fine before he comes back to action.

Meanwhile on Tuesday, the Tiger Woods Foundation was named as the host of PGA Tour's annual event at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles. In a statement, Tiger told that this is a great opportunity for his organization.
